Ultrasound Technician
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled sonographer to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for performing diagnostic ultrasound examinations, ensuring high-quality imaging while providing exceptional patient care. The sonographer will work closely with physicians and other healthcare professionals to assist in the diagnosis and treatment of various medical conditions.
Responsibilities:
-Conduct ultrasound examinations on patients, including but not limited to abdominal, pelvic, and Echocardiograms, Breast, Thyroid, carotid, small parts, soft tissue, lower and upper extremities imaging.
-Prepare and maintain equipment for procedures, ensuring proper functionality and cleanliness.
-Provide clear instructions to patients regarding the ultrasound process to alleviate anxiety and ensure cooperation.
-Analyze images for quality and accuracy, documenting findings in patient records.
-Collaborate with physicians to discuss results and assist in determining further diagnostic or treatment options.
-Maintain a sterile environment by adhering to aseptic techniques during procedures.
-Stay updated on advancements in sonography techniques and medical imaging technology.
Skills:
-Strong knowledge of physiology, anatomy, and medical terminology relevant to ultrasound procedures.
-Proficient in medical imaging techniques, particularly sonography,
-Excellent patient care skills with the ability to communicate effectively with patients and healthcare team members.
-Familiarity with aseptic techniques to ensure patient safety during procedures.
-Ability to interpret ultrasound images accurately and provide detailed reports based on findings.
-Strong interpersonal skills to foster a compassionate environment for patients undergoing examinations.
